Nobu Nakazawa: No matter how many times I sit and watch it during my downtime, its beauty never ceases to amaze me. It reminds me of the decision I made to connect myself with its presence and it provides me with time to reminisce the journey I’ve made since my humble beginnings.
I’ve been blessed so far during my time in the business more so than others. I’ve learned from some of the best minds. I’ve traveled to some of the best promotions. I’ve experienced incredible success in a short amount of time. And yet the majority of it all seems to tie itself to one individual who as if by fate was destined to “eclipse” my path at some point in time.
Nobu slowly turns to face the camera.
RYOMA, we’ve been through a lot together. At first a rivalry, we turned it into holding 4 tag belts in 4 different promotions at the same time. We were as unstoppable as a team could really be in this universe.
And while I took pride in it all just as you did, I was only a matter of time before this total eclipse of talent would eventually subside. By no means was it selfish. Rather, it was a feeling of helplessness. Holding 4 sets of belts is one thing, but not being able to save Mr. Nova from getting thrown onto his head by those vicious creatures is the moment I pinpointed where Sun and Moon died.
Despite this tragedy, phases are not uncommon with our celestial admirations. At least to mine it isn’t.
Fortunately for both of us, Mr. Anomaly has seen this change himself and has put us back into a distant, but familiar situation.
The prize however isn’t Matsuki’s admiration this time around. It’s a huge opportunity. The SNGW Universal crown that enigmatic owner holds.
And with this I must ask for a favor from you, RYOMA. We need to show this fool that regardless which one of us wins, he’s going to have a difficult time.
We need to give our best. We need to be the strong representatives of fading opposition to their tyranny. We need to do this for the sake of Ogg, Alastair, Nicky Nova and all the victims they have laid to waste. We need to be a Sun and we need to be a Moon. Separate, but radiant beacons of light in a universe of darkness.
Nobu goes back to staring at the moon as the scene goes back to a close-up of the Moon and fades to black.
