The remnants of the door leading to the office of former owner of ESTRELLA Don Dinero appear at the end of a lonely corridor. The name on the stained glass has been smeared over with an ash-like substance caked on thick.
A woman wearing a hooded sweatshirt concealing her face walks down the hallway towards the door and stops and lowers her face mask to take a short, but deep smell of the air. She slowly lowers her hood in disgust.
Woman: Incense. I’m too late.
The woman is revealed as former ESTRELLA Champion Catalina Maggia. It is the first time she has been on the ESTRELLA premises since Don Dinero’s departure from the company. Since then, a lockdown and quarantine was forced after the events of the last SUPER NOVA show as a precaution for COVID-19.
Mask covering back on, she kicks open the door to a holy collection of scenery and the heads of 2 hooded individuals turned to see the cause for disruption. They are two of the members of the group that, under the leadership of Zachariah Zealot, wreaked havoc on Mr. Anomaly months ago.
Masked Individual: It appears we have some company.
The other masked individual creepily nods in agreement.
Catalina Maggia: More like my father’s office has unwelcomed guests. I’m here to take back what is inherently mine: this office and this company. You can leave.
????: I don’t think that will be necessary.
Zachariah Zealot walks out from the shadows hiding the back part of the office to join by the side of the 2 other hooded followers.
Zealot: You may have been ESTRELLA champion for years, but you’ve gained little insight into your father’s business decisions.
Maggia: You’ve got a lot of fucking nerve to show up here after what you did to my father.
Zealot: Language, child! You better think twice about making any unnecessary moves here. My followers are more than capable of taking care of your misconduct. Let’s keep it at 6 feet.
Maggia: For what you did, I’ll put you 6 feet underground.
He’s dead thanks to you. He passed after a battle with COVID, but more likely of a broken heart, mind, and spirit. He lost everything coincidentally after your deal with him and clinged to his faith to help.
Zealot: His health has no effect on our deal whatsoever. I did what I had to do to position myself in a better way in the eyes of God. He has spoken to me and has made it quite clear that this “Galastream” as they call it is in much need of a cleansing.
I was too blinded by the endless battles to see what this place has deteriorated to. Fortunately, Mr. Dinero was just another Italian who couldn’t turn down a great trade deal. It was an easy win. Just happened to be ESTRELLA in this case, but any of the organizations would’ve sufficed and, in the future, will just compound our influence.
Maggia: So he brought you back to relevance in the ring? What does that have to do with exiling him from the company he loved?
Zealot: You would think anybody associated with mafia would have known, but perhaps he was really good at keeping his princess totally naïve with the trinket around your waist you held for almost 4 years.
He gave me what I needed, but there was a hitch. He blew us all up in that ring. He tried to take the religious ones out of the picture in exchange for moving up himself. He aimed higher than ESTRELLA and he needed to be stopped. I just didn’t realize that until my face was scarred from the shrapnel.
Catalina attempts to attack Zealot, but gets held up by the hooded individuals. She screams as she struggles, ripping her mask in the process
Maggia: Lies! All lies! You call yourself a man of the cloth? You are a wolf in sheep’s clothing!
My father was stern, but fair. He had a heart. You are heartless!
Zealot: And so is this improperly themed company. You have the gall to say your father ran this company fairly while he kept the top prize on you through devious measures? Did you even defend that honor cleanly on one occasion?
Your reign is an embarrassment to reigns. That is why power must be transferred.
Maggia: If you want that power, it goes through me and my legacy. If I have to, I will put my career on the line.
Zealot: So be it. You want that power you feel you are entitled to? You’ll have to go…..through me!
The hooded followers force Catalina outside the office door.
Zealot: See you at the next ESTRELLA show.
One of the hooded followers slams the door with such force that the stained glass shatters. Catalina stares nervously, but stern at Zealot. One hooded follower tends to a cut on his lesioned skin while the other one licks the blood on his cut.
Catalina backs away, covers her face, and walks off as the scene ends.
