PRELIATOR is the official MMA promotion of The Galastream.
The head of PRELIATOR is French-Canadian Reymond Riguad.
Originally held on the UFC Undisputed 3 video game, it has been transferred over to Fire Pro Wrestling Returns and now takes place in a ring instead of an octagon. Currently, PRELIATOR uses SWA rules with 3 minute rounds. Normal fights will have 3 rounds and title matches will have 5 rounds. This is subject to change.
PRELIATOR encourages open participation from outside sources, but strictly follows a few preset fighter guidelines.
All fighters have a 117 parameter point cap and are made with preset templates with a few changes here and there to suit to the fighter’s personality. There are currently no weight classes for PRELIATOR and all fighters fight for a chance at holding the PRELIATOR Championship.
The origins of the fighters that enter PRELIATOR are predetermined based on real world MMA demographics. While the majority of MMA fighters are American, there is roughly a 40% probability that a fighter will be from the rest of the world. Nationality and fighting styles are chosen based on demographics and a rolling of a 20-sided die.
During show runs, there are certain events that can occur depending on the situation.
For example, before or after events, a fighter has a 20% chance of either getting interviewed or having an out-of-ring event that impacts their career.
If a fighter is CRITICAL!’ed in a fight (CRITICAL! Is set on high), there is a 25% chance that they may be injured for a certain amount of time. This includes a 5% chance of a career ending injury if injured. These numbers are predetermined by current MMA demographics and are chosen based on the rolling of a 20-sided die.
This is intended to keep things fresh and encourage development of unknowns into something special.
Fighters are ranked using a special points system which includes the following points:
Win = 3 points
Loss = 0 points
Convincing Win = 5 points
Convincing Loss = 1 point
Submission/KO bonus = 2 points
KO of the night = 1 Point for the winner
Sub of the night = 1 point for the winner
Fight of the night = 1 point for each fighter
3-match winning streak bonus = 3 points
5-match winning streak bonus = 5 points
Winning streak over 5 matches = 1 for each win over 5
This points system is subject to change.
Current fighters start off with only a finisher CRITICAL! type. Depending on their fight results, a CRITICAL! type is granted after their 4th fight between either Striking, Suplex, or Submission based on which occurs more. If winning results are mixed, the fighter can choose his own style.
After a PPV event, the top 8 fighters based on points gain an exemption to the next PPV and do not need to fight in the smaller shows.
