Rey Del Sol First Round
Zealot: Despite facing a formidable challenge in Mark Spirals, the former second incarnation of Space Tiger in Nao Iwakura hung very well against the talented junior heavyweight.
While he displayed numerous high dives and ranas, Nao's lack of finishing caught up to him as Spirals spent most of the match wearing him down with big suplexes and neckbreaker. Ultimately, a Spirals Crush in the middle of the ring got the W.

Rey Del Sol First Round
Zealot: Stingy Ol' Alastair had quite the challenge facing German blitzkrieg from Ulrich Lang.
While Ulrich has not had as much time to shine in SUPER NOVA, there is no doubt that letting him get a waistlock on you is a huge mistake.
However, Alastair's experience and precise elbow striking as always help him survive multiple German suplexes and led him to the win.

Star Fleet vs. Intergalactic Space Pirates
Zealot: I knew when these two teams met that things would get out of control and I was right. Early in the match, Silver Hawk brought in a sledgehammer to show that the Fleet would not put up with the Pirates' swashbuckling shenanigans.
What I believe ultimately helped Star Fleet get the win here was keeping the volatile Tachyon out of legal status in the match as Crash and Persephone dominated ring time. That combined with the team speed of the Fleet and you can see how their debut was successful.

Rey Del Sol First Round
Zealot: From what I've heard, Sesi was formerly frozen nomad from Nunavut that somehow showed up here. That being said, what in God's name is this guy made of?
He wouldn't submit at all to Damon's holds. Damon had to play the role of ice pick and chip away with head drop after head drop. Long, but the result was favorable.

Rey Del Sol First Round
Zealot: After what that old fogey Geese would call a "pep talk" (still waiting on an explanation as to how a limo got up here), you would think the fallen champion would have a more "fiery" response for the Rey Del Sol, no?
Well, it took a while as Blayze for the most part looked really solid and hit some really stiff kicks. Too bad his opponent has a head made of cement. A desperation lariat ultimately assured that we get Nobu vs. RYOMA for the billionth time in the 2nd round. Hope they know they only have a 30 minute time limit in these matches.
